This charrette is an investigation into the repair of broken, donated, and unwanted products through design interventions
During this 2-week event, second-annual Design Charette at The Ohio State University, a group of industrial design students and I were tasked with creating a repaired product with discarded, broken, and unused items which will be provided by the Department of Design.  The products presented ranged from furniture to personal objects such as shoes and bags. The goal of the event was to repair these broken objects with a "designerly" approach and create visibly fixed objects to attract public attention, thereby pushing the boundaries of both “repair” and “design”.

My groupmates (Karam Ramadan, Annie Roo, and Boston Logan) and I were given an old bike helmet and, through communal ideation, we decided upon a lighting concept which capitalizes upon the rounded holes and curved nature of the helmet's original form.
